“Skip A Rope” #25 (#1 Country) 2/10/1968

Social consciousness wasn’t limited to rock or soul music in the 60’s. Country music got in on the act, too. This week’s #1 on that chart crossed over to the Top 40 for Henson Cargill of Oklahoma City, where his grandfather was once mayor.
