"No Milk Today" #35 4/8/1967

Graham Gouldman was a prolific songwriter long before his days with 10cc, having composed "Bus Stop" and "For Your Love" among others. Here's the US B-side to "There's A Kind Of Hush" for Herman's Hermits, but an A-side in the UK where it made the Top 10. A step above their normal fare, and one of my Hermits faves.

For those who would dismiss groups like Herman's Hermits as being "bubblegum"/"teen pop of the '60s": You're not really listening to the songs up close and intimately enough!

Actually, this song DOES have somewhat of an "adult"-oriented theme about itself.
...and very passionate and melodic to boot.
