Another Laura Nyro song, released some months before the 5th Dimension version. This came from Thelma Houston (no relation to Whitney) long before her 1977 disco hit “Don’t Leave Me This Way.” Thelma was born in Leland, Miss., also the home town of Muppet meister Jim Henson.
