One of a handful of Doors songs where Jim Morrison did not write the lyrics. Guitarist Robby Krieger composed the tune, which was supposed to be about a military member being with his girl on the last night before shipping out overseas. Some radio stations thought the subject was too risqué and refused to play the record, otherwise it probably would’ve done better.
