The Mamas and the Papas had seven Top 10 hits (of which this was the second), but this was their only #1 record. Who knew that eventually Mama Cass would be gone, that Papa John would get weird and leave us as well, that Denny would be gone, too, and that Michelle would wind up on "Knots Landing"?
